LG wants your next laptop to hold a charge for a long time LG has announced the 2021 model of its ultra-lightweight LG Gram laptop, with a battery life of over a day.

In fact, we got a glimpse of the latest LG Gram laptop at CES last month. But today (February 11), LG announced the price and release date of the new model.

LG's battery life numbers continue to amaze us; the LG Gram 14 appears to be the leader of the long-lasting family, promising up to 25.5 hours of battery life in a 14-inch notebook; even the LG Gram 17, the new laptop's most battery life, but by LG's calculations it should last up to 19.5 hours.

If these numbers are accurate, the LG Gram family would be the longest-lasting laptops we've seen; Apple's new MacBook Air with the M1 impressed us by lasting 14 hours 41 minutes in our battery tests. Even if the Gram models don't live up to LG's hype, they could all outperform Apple.

The Gram series also has an advantage over the MacBook Air in another area: price. the LG Gram 14 starts at $999, which is the same as the MacBook Air's starting price. For this price, you can get the LG Gram with a 14-inch display, 11th generation Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage; the Core i5 version starts at $1,199 and the Core i7 version starts at $1,399.

The LG Gram 16 promises up to 22 hours of battery life and is available with a choice of Intel Core i5 or Core i7 chips. This model starts at $1,299.

The LG Gram 17 represents LG's new laptop with a 17-inch display, Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. It is priced at $1,799.

These laptops are available now, and LG will add 14-inch and 16-inch 2-in-1 models by mid-March.

The 14-inch LG Gram 2-in-1 comes with an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor and 1TB of storage for $1,699. It comes in black or green and runs for up to 24.5 hours, LG says, while the 16-inch version is available with Core i5 or Core i7 processors for $1,499 and $1,999, respectively. Regardless of processor, this 2-in-1 will last up to 21 hours on a charge.
