Samsung's next flagship phone, the Galaxy S22, may feature a 65W ultra-fast charger.

MySmartPrice has found a technical inspection list of potential new chargers that are believed to support a maximum output of 20V at 3.25 amps. For reference, the OnePlus 8T is capable of 65W charging, but at 6.5 amps and 5V output.

Such a charger would be the fastest Samsung has yet offered. The Samsung Galaxy S21 supports fast charging, but the charger currently offered as an option is only rated at 25W.

The Samsung charger, which is said to be 65W, is also said to support USB programmable power supply (PPS), which allows the output voltage and current to be adjusted to enable fast charging.

The charging unit was initially spotted in South Korea in September 2020; according to the TUV SUD certification report, the certification was issued back on January 15.

This means that the charger may be prepared for Samsung's next flagship phone. It could be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Or it could be the Samsung Galaxy Note 21, if the Korean company really wants to continue making the Note, as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has many Note-like features.

Samsung recently decided to follow Apple's lead and not include a charger with the Galaxy S21 series. Therefore, a 65W charger could also be an option for the Galaxy S22. However, there is still hope that in the near future users will be able to purchase a more powerful and faster charging unit for their next Samsung smartphone.
