Falcon and Winter Soldier trailer, release date, cast etc

Falcon and The Winter Soldier are coming to television in a new Disney Plus show. And I've already started researching the Internet to see what I can find out about this new show.

Of course, beware of spoilers for "Avengers: Endgame" and previous MCU films. Set photos have also been leaked (see below), which should also be considered a spoiler warning for the show!

The big news about the show is that it is ostensibly the next Captain America movie and will show the next step in who takes over Steve's shield. Marvel is keen to make the Disney Plus show much more important than the ABC and Netflix titles, so hopefully this show will lead to a Phase 4 or 5 movie.

The big Super Bowl commercial for Falcon and Winter Soldier gave us a good feel for why we like this series. In the video, the two heroes are in therapy, and Sam is apparently getting on Bucky's nerves. Sam then throws a cap shield and Bucky catches it. And let's hope for lots of returns.

We saw many of the dangers our heroes face in this new trailer. Of course, the two have mixed feelings about taking on the iconic shield.

"The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" was supposed to be released in August 2020, but that's no longer the case -- as revealed at the Disney Investors Day event, it will be released on Disney Plus on March 19.

As TV Line reported, the August 2020 release schedule for Disney Plus was announced, but Cap's successor was nowhere to be found.

Filming of Falcon and Winter Solider had begun, and the proof came from Bucky himself: during a talk at the October 20 Fandemic Tour, Sebastian Stan revealed that filming had begun for the show. Before you hit the play button on that video, I want you to tighten your eardrums as the news elicits a high-pitched scream from the assembled audience.

As the series name suggests, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will reprise their roles as Falcon and Winter Soldier, respectively. (McKee has also been busy with Netflix's "Altered Carbon" Season 2.)

Also returning is Daniel Brühl, last seen as Jimo in "Captain America: Civil War" as the villain who drives a wedge between the heroes.

Another cast member revealed is Emily VanCamp, who will reprise her role in the MCU as Sharon Carter, Peggy Carter's great-niece. Disney reaffirmed the news at the 2019 D23 Expo, where it also announced that Wyatt Russell ("Black Mirror") will play US Agent, John Walker. And as noted above, Noah Mills will also appear.

Speaking of John Walker, there are set photos of Wyatt Russell in military uniform and US Agent gear!

Remember the ending scene of "Avengers: Endgame," where Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, hands the iconic shield to Sam Wilson, aka Falcon. In light of this, this new show may give us a glimpse of Wilson as he faces his heavy responsibilities as the new Captain America.

Aside from that, there is one more clue about the storyline of this series:

Yes, Daniel Brühl has already given us a preview of what Zemo will look like in this new series. Based on his eerie appearance, we can assume that he will be one of the villains, if not the main villain, facing off against Sam and Bucky, with and without his face hidden.

What does Bruhl's caption mean? It is possible that this villain is trying to wreak havoc on Bucky once again, as the term was used by Zemo in "Civil War" to activate the Winter Soldier's Hydra brainwashing and temporarily turn him back into a villain.

According to Deadline, the series will consist of six episodes.
