Windows 10 now allows you to run multiple Android apps at once.

Thanks to Windows' "Your Phone" app, you don't need the best Chromebook to enjoy Android apps on your desktop. Previously, you could only mirror one Android app at any given time, but things have changed

Your Phone now allows you to open multiple Android apps on your Windows 10 PC. Unfortunately, again, only Samsung Galaxy devices can experience multiple apps. Therefore, those with other Android phones will have to forgo this upgrade.

While being able to use Android apps on a Windows PC is great in itself, being able to use multiple apps simultaneously takes multitasking to the next level. Having apps that you use frequently saves you the hassle of fiddling with your phone and interrupting it at various times throughout the day.

Unfortunately, this feature is not widely available. People who do not have a Samsung Galaxy phone cannot use the Android app on their PC. Also, those who use something older (or less powerful) than the Galaxy Note 10 are limited to one app at a time.

Your Phone app sharing was first announced in September, when Microsoft's comments suggested that they were "exploring" the possibility of offering this feature to other Android phones. Unfortunately, we did not have the information to share at the time, and from the sounds of things that has not changed.

Given the diversity of Android hardware out there, it is clear that it would be no small feat to make such a feature available on all devices. As annoying as it may be for those who have different phones, Samsung's Galaxy device is one of the most popular Android devices. So it is not surprising that Microsoft would start sharing apps there.

If you want to try the "multiple app experience" on your PC, your first task is to make sure your Samsung phone is eligible. Then, make sure your PC has the May 2020 Windows 10 update (or later), Android 11.0, version 1.20102.132 of the Your Phone app, version 1.20102.133.0 of the Link to Windows app, the Galaxy Store Link to Windows Service app version 2.1.05.2 or higher.

This is a lot, but since this is a brand new feature for you to enjoy, you will need the latest and greatest software to make it happen. In any case, most of these are likely already automatically updated.

What about the rest of us? You should only have to do so due to using your phone as a phone. Or you could always opt for an upgrade by checking out our list of the best Samsung phones or best Samsung phone deals. That way you won't have to hold back.
