All we know about Young Rock's trailer, release date, cast and Rock's new show

"Die Rocky!" Even if you meet The Rock in a crowd shouting "Rocky, Rocky, Rocky! The young Rock will show you a whole new Dwayne. And this time, he will tell his own story.

Co-produced by Nanachika Khan of "Fresh Off the Boat" and "Always Be My Maybe" and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson of "Fast Five" and "The Scorpion King," "Young Rock" follows Johnson at ages 10, 15 and 20 in The new NBC sitcom follows Johnson at ages 10, 15, and 20.

Oops, don't expect The Rock himself to suddenly become camera savvy. The first trailer for "Young Rock" gives us a glimpse of what it's all about, and we think he's going to be just as funny as Daniel Stern in "The Wonder Years.

This trailer (not a trailer, but pretty close) for "Young Rock" shows a little bit of each version of DJ, but the oldest son, Rock, has the least to do. The footage focuses primarily on DJ as a high school student, who walks around his high school with a mustache and unsure of his first name.

We also see the super-sensitive youngest son Rock taking advice from his father (wrestler Rocky Johnson). Rocky does not take his wisdom to heart, but he does show the same devotion to tequila that we see in Rock today.

Young Rock is coming soon. In an Instagram post promoting the series and releasing the first trailer, Johnson said the series will "hit your living room" on Sunday, February 16 on NBC.

The series will air at 8 p.m. and will appear on NBC's Peacock streaming service the following day; NBC is available on Sling TV, one of the best streaming services.

As the trailer indicates, Young Rock has three different actors playing Dwayne Johnson throughout his younger years. So don't expect a full-length portrait of the pioneering, eyebrow-raising, jabroni-beating People's Champ, who made a lot of money in the WWF. Johnson (perhaps only the voice) appears as narrator.

The cast of Young Rock consists mainly of unknown actors, with Adrian Grue (10-year-old Dwayne) and Bradley Constant (15-year-old Dwayne) as the younger Rock and Uri Latkeev (Marco Polo, Alien: Covenant) as 20-year-old year old Dwayne) as the younger Dwayne.

Stacy Leilua will play Ata, the mother; Joseph Lee Anderson will play Rocky, the father; and Anna Twisila will play Leah Maivia, Johnson's grandmother.
