To all the boys: Always and forever trailer, release date, cast and more news

In To All the Boys: Always and Forever, first love is tested again. Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) are on the precipice of adulthood.

"To All the Boys 3" is based largely on the book "Always and Forever, Lara Jean" by Jenny Han. Like the novel, the film follows Lara Jean and Peter in their last year of high school as they prepare to take the big step of going to college. This next phase of their lives leads them to seriously consider their future and their relationship.

But before taking that next step, Lara Jean and Peter will experience all the milestones of their senior year, including prom and graduation. Lara Jean then takes a trip to Korea to bond with her sisters and learn about her heritage.

The first film, 2018's To All the Boys I've Loved Before, was a huge hit for Netflix and (along with The Kissing Booth) helped revive the teen rom-com genre. The streamer quickly ordered a sequel, "To All the Boys: P.S. Still I Love You," which premiered last February. Now, the third film has arrived, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Here's everything we know about "To All the Boys": the movie "Always and Forever"

Netflix will release "To All the Boys": it will be released on Friday, February 12.

The film began shooting just two months after "P.S. I Love You" ended; the end of the trilogy was bittersweet for star Lana Condor, who told USA Today, "It's a really surreal moment. She told USA Today, "It's a really surreal moment. I'm really worried because I'm not [fully prepared]. I'm heartbroken that it's over, but I'm also really excited."

Netflix released the official book trailer for "To All the Boys 3" on January 13. The trailer, set to a cover of Donna Lewis' "I Love You Always Forever," begins with Lara Jean calling Peter during a trip to Korea. When she returns, Peter gets down on one knee and ...... invites her to prom. Relax, this is a prom proposal!

The rest of the trailer foretells a major conflict in the film. She and Peter plan to go to Stanford, but what happens if they don't get in? And Lara Jean's interest in a New York college does not bode well for their relationship.

The cast of To All the Boys: Always and Forever is Lana Condor as Lara Jean Covey and Noah Centineo as her boyfriend, Peter Kavinsky. Both are high school seniors.

Spoilers for Always and Forever, Lara Jean!

The film adaptation is quite different from Jenny Han's book To All the Boys. The Coveys live in Portland in the movie, but in the book they live in Virginia.

Therefore, in To All the Boys 3, the movie made Peter's college Stanford (in the book it is the University of Virginia). However, as in the book, Lara Jean is not placed at the same school, setting up a relationship crisis.

In the book, Lara Jean ultimately decides to attend the University of North Carolina, but the movie trailer suggests that she may go to college in New York (quite far away).

The book ends with Lara Jean and Peter deciding to stay together despite the distance. Will the movie end the same way? I have a feeling that there will be a happy ending.
