Hulu Watch Party Arrives — Here's How to Use it

Hulu's Watch Party has officially launched. After a months-long testing period in which only subscribers who paid to turn off ads could use it, Hulu, one of the best streaming services, is rolling out its Watch Party tool to everyone.

This makes sense. With Watch Party, shows and movies stay in sync, so if one person pauses, they all stay paused. with ads, the same is true if someone in the Watch Party group has Hulu, and all streams will be paused while the ads are playing.

This follows Hulu's enabling of Watch Party for election news, the first time it has been for live content; Hulu Watch Party now includes original shows such as Pen15 and licensed shows such as Archer and Fargo It works with all on-demand content in its own library, from shows.

Hulu Watch Party also provides a means of communication. It also provides its own emoji.

There is one problem with Hulu Watch Party: it only works on Hulu.com, so you'll have to watch it on a laptop (maybe you have a giant iMac?). ), or you'll have to mirror your computer to your TV using Chromecast (which is recommended).

The Hulu streaming apps on Fire TV, Roku, and other platforms probably do not have this technology.

I have done different versions of synchronized streaming media viewing over the past year.

But if this new feature seems right for you, here's everything you need to know about using the Hulu Watch Party:

If you don't already have the button, please wait a bit, as it should be available to all ( or sign out of the service and then sign in again).

This will copy the link to the clipboard.

When you open the link, you will want to click "Join the Party."

The menu on the left side of the screen can be used for chatting, sending emojis, etc. If you want to retrieve a link to a watch party and send it to someone you want to join, click on the link icon in the upper right corner.
