For a limited time, Black Friday is offering the Galaxy Fold 2 5G for $999. That's a pretty substantial savings from the foldable phone's usual asking price of $1,9999; all you need to do to cut the Galaxy Fold 2 price in half is to trade in your qualifying phone.

If you are trying to maximize the value of your trade-in, there is a catch. The steepest $1,000 discount only applies to those who trade in last year's first-generation Galaxy Fold. Other models have some trade-in value, but the most recent models sell for the most. For example, the iPhone 11 Pro Max will receive a $700 discount and the Galaxy Note 10 will receive a $500 discount; Pixel 4 and 4 XL owners can expect rebates of $230 and $290, respectively.

The trade-in price applies whether the Galaxy Fold 2 is purchased unlocked or tied to a wireless carrier when purchasing the phone on Samsung's website.
