Today is the day of Apple's "One more thing" event in November. Finally, the much-anticipated Apple Silicon Macbook will make its debut, and it's time to mark time on your calendar to see the future of the Mac.

The launch event will begin today (Tuesday, November 10) at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM ET. As Apple teased at its June developer conference, the big story is that the company plans to release MacBooks, iMacs, Mac Pros, and Mac minis running on Apple's own A-series Apple Silicon chips to keep Intel's processors in the rear view mirror This means.

But Apple CEO Tim Cook may have something else in store. If this fall's Apple event is anything to go by, the company will announce yet another product line update.

And since we are nearing the gift-giving season, the AirPods Studio feels like a prime candidate for another one of these "One more thing," (named after the signature phrase Apple co-founder Steve Jobs says before a big announcement) events Apple Glasses or Apple TV? We'll find out soon.

At least two new MacBooks are expected to be unveiled, if not other Macs as well. They are the 13-inch MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro, although the latter may change to a 14-inch display, as has been rumored for some time.

As mentioned above, the AirPods Studio is another heavily rumored upcoming Apple product.

Apple has made such strong advances in manufacturing its own processors that it could kick Intel's ass, so (according to Apple's WWDC 2020 presentation) a Mac with higher power efficiency (for longer battery life) and faster will be available.

The Apple Silicon processor is already a familiar ARM-based processor. It is expected to use the same (or similar) A14 processor-based chip that is used in the new iPhone 12 and iPad Air 2020. Thus the Apple Silicon Mac will be able to run iOS and iPadOS apps.

The leap to ARM processors took a long time because Apple had to develop its own versions of Intel's processors. For example, Intel's 11th generation Tiger Lake CPU just debuted, while Apple's latest MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020) is still stuck on a 10th generation chip.

The specific Apple Silicon Macs that will debut at the "one more thing" event have yet to be determined, but the most recent rumors indicate that Apple will launch at least two, an Apple Silicon-based MacBook Air and an Apple Silicon-based MacBook Pro; a third possible new MacBook would be an Intel- or ARM-based 16-inch MacBook Pro or a reborn 12-inch MacBook for the ultimate combination of portability and battery life.

The AirPods Studio, rumored for months to be Apple's first over-the-ear headphones, would broaden the definition of what AirPods actually are. It will be positioned as the next best noise-canceling headphone and will be compared to the existing best-in-class models, the Bose 700 and Sony WH-1000XM4.

And how much will the AirPods Studio cost? Estimates are as low as $399, going up to $599 depending on the design; thinking back to past Apple Watch models, one is reminded that Apple likes to release different models made of various materials.
