The Witch's Delivery Service 2020 is an adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic spooky book and film for a whole new era. Luckily for fans of the spooky season, the film is available on HBO Max (with a 7-day free trial) and looks to shock and surprise.

Starring Octavia Spencer and Anne Hathaway, the film is shot by Robert Zemeckis, who is no stranger to film adaptations of classics. The film makes "The Witches" a bit more Western than the original version, bringing the hotel-set mayhem to 1960s Alabama, changing it from its original destinations of Norway and England.

Hathaway stars as Lilith, the Great Witch, who visits the Grand Hotel with a pack of child-hating witches trying to exterminate the brats (i.e., rats). Unfortunately for young Charlie Hansen (Jerzyr Kadeem Bruno) and his grandmother (Spencer), they have chosen the same hotel.

I say rats because the titular witch begins transforming every child in sight into a rat. Charlie tries to stop the witch by creating a group of friends who were also transformed into rats. Stanley Tucci co-stars as Mr. Stringer, the hotel manager.
