Have you ever had trouble with Stimulus Check 2? And Trump says, "Grow up or go home."

The fate of the second stimulus package and Stimulus Check 2 remains in limbo as House Democrats, Senate Republicans, and the Trump administration refuse to budge on how much to spend and what to include in the bailout bill.

On Tuesday (October 13), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) defended the House's $2.2 trillion proposal in an interview with CNN, indicating that Democrats are not willing to compromise with the White House, which offered its own $1.8 trillion proposal. [I have represented my constituents for over 30 years. I have represented my constituents for over 30 years. [and] their needs are not being addressed in the President's proposal. So, when people say, "Why don't you accept theirs?" And when they say, "Why don't you accept ours?" I have no choice but to say, "I don't know.

According to Roll Call, in a conference call with House Democrats on Tuesday, Pelosi agreed that a stimulus bill is urgently needed, but reiterated that the White House must come to her.

"We really need an agreement, but we can't get one by just folding," Pelosi reportedly said. 'I don't think our influence has ever been greater than it is now.'

Both the White House and Democratic proposals include a second $1,200 stimulus package, but with different levels of funding for unemployment insurance, child care assistance, and state and local government aid.

For the past two weeks, President Donald J. Trump has alternately expressed a desire to invest significant funds in the bailout bill and a desire to break off negotiations with Democrats. Pelosi irked President Trump in an open letter to Democrats: "All the President wants is to issue the checks before the election and let the markets rise.

The Senate, meanwhile, may move in a third direction after Republicans last week balked at the $1.8 trillion price tag of the White House proposal. The Republican cap is expected to be around $1.1 trillion, but even that has never been brought up for a vote.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) announced Tuesday that he will consider yet another "skinny" bill that would provide some "targeted" relief, such as federal unemployment insurance and support for payroll protection program loans to small businesses, but would not provide stimulus checks2 announced plans to do so.

He also accused Democrats of trying to block Senate legislation to advance their own bill. The Senate Republicans' previous "skinny" bill failed to advance in a procedural vote a month ago.

"The American people want Democrats to stop blocking bipartisan funding and let PPP refill before more Americans needlessly lose their jobs.

Not surprisingly, both lawmakers and the American people are receiving mixed signals from President Trump! Shortly after McConnell proposed his latest skinny bill, President Trump "STIMULUS!!!Go big or go home!!!!" he tweeted.

According to The Hill, on Rush Limbaugh's nationally televised radio show this past Friday (October 9), President Trump stated that he "would like to see a bigger stimulus package than either the Democrats or Republicans are offering."

"It would certainly be great if the president and Senator McConnell talked to each other and had a common approach," Senate Minority Leader Dick Durbin (R-Ill.) said Tuesday, according to Roll Call. 'Could the two sit down and come to an agreement? Wouldn't that be a breakthrough?
