iPhone12 last minute leak reveals the final design — and there is good news

The iPhone 12 launch is just hours away. It would not be surprising to see last minute leaks before Apple's new model is officially unveiled. The bad news is that the notch will remain on the iPhone 12. The good news is that it may get smaller.

Apple appears to have uploaded four new iPhone images to the Apple iCloud website, spotted by @AppleSWUpdates on Twitter. And there appears to be an improvement on the notch front.

According to 9to5 Mac, which compared these new images to the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR, the notch on the iPhone 12 should be narrower than the previous design. This should allow for more viewing of content, but the notch is still larger than the notch on the Galaxy Note 20 and some other Android phones.

According to previous reports, the iPhone 12 lineup should also offer a flatter edge design, reminiscent of the iPhone 5 but easier to grip. Previous leaks predicted that only the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini would have a smaller notch, while the other three models would have no notch.

Apple is also expected to unveil a 6.1-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 are both likely to feature dual rear cameras and the Pro model should offer a more powerful telephoto lens with at least 3x optical zoom.

Only the iPhone 12 Pro Max may also feature a LiDAR scanner for enhanced photography and AR performance, similar to the iPad Pro 2020.

Meanwhile, 9to5Mac also reports that Apple has uploaded new image assets of what could be a new Apple TV. Previous rumors have pointed to a new, faster processor for Apple TV and an improved remote control, but this device has not been mentioned in many leaks leading up to the iPhone 12 event. Therefore, this would be a surprise announcement.
