iPhone12 battery life just leaked, there is good news and bad news

We're getting very close to Apple's big October 13 iPhone 12 event, and leaks are going into overdrive to get us the last few bits of information before Apple has a chance to tell us themselves.

We've already seen one leak that suggests the iPhone 12 will have a massive camera upgrade, and now we're hearing more about the phone's battery life. This is both good news and bad news.

The news comes from leaker Max Weinbach (aka @PineLeaks), who has obtained a large amount of information about the new iPhone. We're feeling pretty ambivalent about the revelation, which includes information about battery life for three of the four iPhone 12 models we'll likely see tomorrow.

Weinbach claims that the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro Max will have at least an extra hour of battery life. Battery life is very important for a phone, and the longer the time, the better. Sadly, the news also includes information that the iPhone 12 Mini will have a shorter battery life than the iPhone 11.

That was almost expected, as smaller phones have less room for larger batteries that will keep the phone running longer. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing, especially for those who were looking for a slightly cheaper way to purchase the iPhone 12 this year.

The only question is how long the battery will last. And we'll just have to wait and see if Apple says anything about that at tomorrow's big event.

Still, at least we get to enjoy a phone with various improvements over the iPhone 11: 5G connectivity, A14 Bionic chipset, massive camera upgrades, etc. All in all, there is a lot to be very excited about, and it won't be long until we get the official details.
