It has long been known that the iPhone 12 series will likely consist of four models, and now we know what Apple may call these devices.

According to Twitter leaker L0vetodream, Apple will call the smallest 5.4-inch iPhone 12 the iPhone 12 mini and the 6.1-inch model the iPhone 12. Since Apple continues to use the mini name for the Mac mini, this rumor is not so far-fetched.

So what about the iPhone 12 Pro model? According to l0vetodream, the 6.1-inch device will be called the iPhone 12 Pro and the 6.7-inch model will be called the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

In that light, this nomenclature makes more sense than previously rumored. Some leakers called the 5.4" model the "iPhone 12" and the 6.1" model the "iPhone 12 Max.

However, having two iPhone 12 models with Max in the name would cause confusion among shoppers, and many would ask what the difference is between the two Max phones. iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max" would clarify the differences between the four models.

As previously reported, the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini is expected to be the most compact phone Apple has released in years. In fact, it is said to be smaller than the current 4.7-inch iPhone SE while featuring a larger 5.4-inch display.

Meanwhile, Samsung's smallest Galaxy S20 is 6.2 inches, even though there are still consumers looking for the best small phone that is easy to use with one hand.

Another thing that is considered mini about the iPhone 12 mini is the price; it is rumored to be in the $699-$749 range, but given the additional component costs required to make 5G a reality, the latter seems more likely.

All four iPhone 12 models are expected to feature Apple's new 5nm A14 Bionic processor, OLED displays, and 5G connectivity. However, the iPhone 12 Pro model should offer a telephoto zoom camera along with a LiDAR sensor for improved photography and augmented reality (AR) performance.

There were rumors that Apple might include a 120 Hz display in the iPhone 12 Pro device, but the latest rumors indicate that this feature will not be included.
