Last year, OnePlus staggered the release dates for the OnePlus 7T series; the OnePlus 7T was announced simultaneously in India and the US in late September, while the OnePlus 7T Pro was announced a few weeks later in early October.

While this year's coronavirus outbreak means that all bets are off when it comes to predicting smartphone launches, OnePlus seems to be aiming for a single global event this time around.

Expect more news from OnePlus in the coming weeks; in the run-up to the OnePlus Nord announcement, OnePlus regularly teased specs and design details, and we expect the company to do the same with this phone launch.

The OnePlus 8T is expected to be an upgrade of the original OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro with a Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, accompanied by at least one RAM and 8GB/128GB storage options.

The most significant change is expected to be the 4,500 mAh battery charging speed, which is expected to increase significantly from 30W to 65W. both the OnePlus 8T and Oneplus 8T Pro are expected to feature 120Hz displays, although the regular 8T is expected to have the 8T Pro will have a lower FHD resolution to better highlight the QHD panel of the 8T Pro.

There should also be a new camera array on the back consisting of a 48MP main, 16MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 2MP portrait sensor, and a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

We will report live on the OnePlus 8T announcement and other leaked information leading up to the event.
