Alexa will begin to be included in several new products. Amazon will be hosting a press event next week where a number of smart home devices with voice assistants will be introduced.

The invitation-only event will take place this coming Thursday, September 24, and will begin at 1:00 PM (10:00 AM GMT). Amazon did not live-stream last year's product launch, but instead live-blogged the details. Amazon has held similar product launches for the past few years, with new products and updates to Alexa speakers usually on the agenda. There may also be smart screens with voice assistants.

However, Amazon's recent product announcements have not been limited to speakers alone; Amazon has branched out into other areas of the smart home: two years ago, Amazon announced both an Alexa-powered watch and a microwave oven; two years ago, the company announced its first Alexa-enabled smart home appliances, the Amazon Echo Frames. Last year, the company expanded into wearables with the Amazon Echo Frames smart glasses, Amazon Echo Buds wireless earbuds, and Amazon Echo Loop ring. They also announced the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock, which they consider one of the best smart home devices ever.

Bottom line: if there is a natural fit for Alexa, or even if there isn't, Amazon could show it off on September 24.
