The next Chromecast with Google TV is coming soon - and we've got our first clear look at the device and its remote control

Google will be previewing the device (previously codenamed Google Chromecast 4 Sabrina) and the accompanying remote control (codenamed Abbey) will be previewed. However, we did get a sneak peek at the hardware thanks to an image posted by WinFuture that appears to be from a retailer leak. While other leaks have revealed what the dongle looks like, this is the first full glimpse of the remote.

The remote control was glimpsed in previous leaks, but the new images show that the buttons have been modified. There are now dedicated YouTube and Netflix buttons, a power button and an input button. The volume buttons are on the side.

The Chromecast with Google TV is expected to be available in several colors, including Rock Candy (dark gray), Summer Melon (pink), and Summer Blue. According to retailer leaks, the device will sell for $49.99, considerably cheaper than the $65 Chromecast Ultra. This is the same price as the Roku Streaming Stick Plus and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, further increasing competition in the streaming device market.

More details about Chromecast with Google TV are expected to be announced at Google's September 30 event, where the flagship Google Pixel 5, possibly the Pixel 4a 5G, and smart speaker Google Nest will also be announced.
