Rumors of missing features in the iPhone 12 seem to have been confirmed by Apple's newly unveiled Apple Watch 6 and Apple Watch SE.

As we learned at Apple's "Time Flies" event yesterday, neither of Apple's new smartwatches comes with a charger, although they do come with a charging cradle and cable. This is done in the name of reducing the environmental impact of Apple's new products.

Rumors that the iPhone 12 would eliminate the boxed charger and wired EarPods first surfaced a few months ago. However, with Apple's most recent move and respected Apple leaker Mark Garman also claiming that the iPhone 12 will not have a charger, the evidence is now hard to ignore.

While it sounds crazy to buy a 2020 flagship phone that doesn't come with such a simple accessory, the charging block is not as essential an accessory as you might think.

First, all you really need to charge your iPhone is a cable. And since such a cable is included with the new Apple Watch, it appears that Apple will still include a cable, whether the other end of the Lightning cable is USB-A or USB-C, such as the previous cell phone charger, to power the iPhone's basic You should be able to easily find a place where you can get the basic 5W charging speed.

However, if you want to use Apple's fast charging option but don't yet have a fast charger, too bad. If you need the official Apple charging brick, it will cost you an additional $29 today.

There is always the option to charge wirelessly at 5W. In fact, this may be a direction Apple focuses on in the near future. iPhone 13 rumors suggest that the 2021 iPhone will not have a Lightning connector and will be powered solely by wireless charging.

However, that is still a year away. For now, we look forward to the iPhone 12 launch event in October, which will feature four new iPhone models featuring upgrades such as 5G support, the A14 Bionic chipset, and the LiDAR sensor in the Pro model, as well as some new products like the AirTags tracker.
