Fortnite down - What you Need to Know Now

Can't log in to Fortnite? You're not alone; Epic Games has identified and is actively working on login issues for the popular battle royale game.

Monday afternoon (September 14), players began reporting problems logging into the game. Even more troubling, some players mistakenly thought they had been banned from the game when they received a "You do not have permission to play Fortnite" message. However, Epic has confirmed that even though this message was displayed, it did not mean that the player was permanently locked out.

As a result of these issues, Fortnite has entered server downtime. As a result, you may not be able to play for the next few hours. For updates on Fortnite's servers, follow the Fortnite Status account.

Fortnite has not been the victim of any major outages recently, but it has been embroiled in its fair share of controversy. Last month, the game was removed from the iOS App Store after Epic violated Apple's rules regarding in-app payments. Epic then sued Apple for alleged anti-competitive practices, and the two parties are still at odds over the issue.

But for Fortnite players on all other platforms, we hope this suspension is just a blip in the game's history. We will update this article with any other major developments.
