Apple's AirTags just revealed — see Apple's tile killer from every angle

The Apple AirTags (the company's long-rumored key finder), which could be released tomorrow along with the Apple Watch 6, have finally been revealed.

According to Front Page Tech's Jon Prosser, the Apple AirTags are circular and "just slightly larger than a bottle cap." The product features a clean white front and a polished metal back with the Apple logo.

The renderings provided by Prosser are not a major departure from the concepts we have seen so far, but this is definitely our best look at the AirTags' design.

Like other key finders, AirTags, like the Puck, help track valuables such as keys, computers, wallets, and purses. The tracker communicates with your cell phone, so if you misplace a connected item, you can locate it.

This upcoming tracking system is said to feature ultra-wideband technology; UWB is expected to be included in most (if not all) Apple products in the near future and is considered extremely accurate for locating.

Prosser does not have a price for AirTags to share, but expects them to be expensive. In addition, the AirTags keychain needed to attach the device to a keychain will be sold separately. [Of course, it is possible that third parties will develop their own AirTags keychains.

Apple AirTags may be announced during tomorrow's Apple event, but could also be announced at a later date along with the new iPhone 12 lineup.
