If you've been eyeing the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, you may be interested in the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max and the 6.1-inch iPhone !

According to DigiTimes' supply chain sources (via 9to5Mac), the next iPhone 12 lineup will appear in two phases: the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 model will be the first to arrive, followed by the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will follow.

DigiTimes had previously reported that this would be the case, but a new report lends further credence to the rumor. What we don't know is when the new iPhones will be launched and subsequently released. We also do not know the interval between the release of the 6.1" model and other sizes.

Currently, it appears that the iPhone 12 series will be announced and released in October, and it is believed that the disruption caused by the coronavirus has pushed back the release of Apple's flagship models from the usual September to October. However, it is possible that Apple will announce the iPhone 12 in September and release it in October. There are even rumors that the iPhone 12 Pro Max may be released in November because Apple will feature a 120 Hz refresh rate display.

With this staggered timing approach, Apple will have both an entry-level and a high-end model with the first release of the iPhone 12. The 5.4-inch iPhone 12 is for those who prefer a smaller phone, while the 6.7-inch handset will be the Samsung s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and the 6.1-inch device is likely to sell the most, as it is likely to target power users who want a larger phone, not to mention the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

We use the terms entry-level and high-end, but the four iPhone 12 handsets will be flagship devices; all four models are expected to use the latest A14 Bionic chip and feature OLED displays.

All four models are expected to have a new design reminiscent of the iPhone 4's flat edges. However, while the iPhone 12 and 12 Max will have two rear cameras, the Pro model is expected to add a telephoto lens and a LiDAR sensor similar to that found on the iPad Pro 2020.
