Lana del Rey releases new album "Chemtrail" at Country Club – How to Stream It

I had heard that Lana Del Rey's new album, "Chemtrails over the Country Club," would be released this week, but for now I'll have to settle for blue jeans and video games. No sign of the record yet, but the day is still young (and in love).

The buzz around the new album began with a bit of controversy that took a stab at the double standards found in the industry, where LDR has been criticized for "glorifying abuse."

Unfortunately, Del Rey's claims and message got "Dodger Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani, and Nicki Minaj and Beyonce" the number one song about "being sexy, not wearing clothes, fucking, cheating, etc."

Toward the end of her post, she revealed that her next album (now known to be "Chemtrails over the Country Club") would be released on September 5. Del Rey did not say what year, but it would not be a stretch to guess that it is 2020.

In other words, September 5 this year is a Saturday, a very irregular date for an album (usually released on a Friday). This is enough to lead one to believe that there was an unannounced delay.

However, there is evidence of new music that Lana is working on. Del Rey posted a snippet of herself listening to the song "Tulsa Jesus Freak" from the album, which has been removed from Instagram but is still on her official Facebook page:

In addition, a song called Chemtrails over Country Club by Lana reports from the set of the music video for the song "Chemtrails Over Country Clubs. And before you see this, you will hear another song called Let Me Love You Like A Woman.

This last line suggests that the album is finished and ready to drop, giving us all the optimism we need (though she ends the post with "looking forward to finishing this for you," which could be a video or something else (she could be referring to the video).

As for when we can expect to see her on tour, she is giving us hope far into the future.

If Lana's "Chemtrails over the Country Club" debuts this weekend, it will be available for streaming on all major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

What gives us pause is that the album has yet to be promoted on her own website.

Nevertheless, it is possible that the surprise drop will happen as originally planned, which would be quite surprising given the lack of recent promotion.

Additionally, music critics are often forced to put together reviews in short bursts when an artist drops an album at an unexpected time, and the lack of reviews for this album is a reason for the hiatus.
