According to technology leakers, the Apple Watch 6 will not arrive in September. Apple's next-generation smartwatch was previously rumored to be released this month, or as early as next week.

Twitter leaker @L0vetodream wrote on Tuesday, "No Watch this month," likely referring to the Apple Watch. Instead, the Apple Watch 6 could launch in October along with the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup.

L0vetodream's message seems to be a rebuttal to a number of leakers who have been calling for a September release date for the Apple Watch 6. Since mid-August, Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech has been calling for the next Apple Watch launch the week of September 7, or next week and has endorsed the idea.

Both L0vetodream and Prosser's Apple Watch 6 release date leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as there are a number of Apple-related rumors currently circulating. The company is expected to debut the new watch and iPhone 12 within a few weeks at a minimum.

A new iPad, an Apple AirTags key finder, and over-ear headphones called AirPods Studio could all appear as we approach Apple's typical hardware release season.

What we do know about the Apple Watch 6 is that it will feature watchOS 7 software and is expected to be slightly improved from the Apple Watch Series 5. This means better battery life, faster performance, and possibly improved water resistance; the Apple Watch 6 may also include SpO2 monitoring capabilities.
