Oneplus8T design Leaked — this is your first look

The OnePlus 8T could be on the way - don't expect major changes from the OnePlus 8.

OnePlus has examined the Android 11 Developer Preview 4 code, and the folks at OxygenUpdater have found an image of a phone that appears to be a rendering of the OnePlus 8T. It looks much like the OnePlus 8, with a punch-hole selfie camera cutout on the left side, making the design hard to distinguish from the OnePlus 8.

But that's not really surprising; OnePlus "T" models tend to be minor upgrades over previous models launched earlier this year. The only exception is the OnePlus 7T, which is a significant upgrade from the OnePlus 7. This is partially because the OnePlus 7 itself was a slightly improved version of the OnePlus 6T.

However, while the external design changes on the T variants of OnePlus phones tend to be minor, the big upgrades take place under the hood. We expect the OnePlus 8T to feature a new Snapdragon 865 Plus chip, which will improve CPU and graphics performance over the previous model.

It may also come with Android 11 and an upgraded camera. Previous leaks suggest that the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Pro may feature a 64MP main camera, based on the 48MP camera on the OnePlus 8 Pro.

Rumors about the OnePlus 8T are not voluminous, so when it comes to upgrades and specs, there is not much else to go on; RAM and storage boosts would not be too surprising, and enhanced wireless fast charging could be on the cards.

The OnePlus 8 Pro has many flagship-level features, but the OnePlus 8 does not have a 120Hz refresh rate display, so expect this upgrade to be included in the T model as well. OnePlus tends to launch T models, so if these leaks and rumors prove to be true, that would be the time to do so.
