Lenovo Yoga Slim9i adopts Dell XPS13 with leather design and Tiger Lake Cpu

Lenovo has found a way to stand out from the slew of powerful new laptops launching this holiday season. This is one of the defining features of the new Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i and Yoga 9i convertibles, which compete with the Dell XPS 13 and MacBook Air with their powerful next-generation Intel CPUs and slim, leather-clad design.

With the Yoga Slim 9i and Yoga 9i, Lenovo could make a strong dent in this fall's best laptops list. Here's everything you need to know about these promising new notebooks.

The new Yoga Slim 9i stands out from the sea of laptops with a black leather option that wraps around the notebook's aluminum CNC chassis. This design, which makes each version of the notebook unique, was created with a 20-step gluing process and withstood 3 kg of tensile force to ensure strong durability. And at 0.54 inches thin and 2.64 pounds light, the Yoga Slim 9i is nearly as thin and light as the sleek Dell XPS 13.

The laptop is one of the first to feature Intel's Tiger Lake CPU and Xe integrated graphics, which should make it one of the most powerful new laptops to be released later this year. Other key specs include a 4K touchscreen display of up to 14 inches with HDR and Dolby Vision and slim bezels that promise a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The Yoga Slim 9i can be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 2TB of PCIe SSD storage and features Dolby Atmos dual front-facing speakers. On the connectivity front, it supports three Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5. [The Yoga Slim 9i (called the IdeaPad Slim 9i in North America) starts at $1,599 and will be available in November 2020.

Convertible lovers should check out the new Yoga 9i series, which comes in 14- and 15-inch variants, with the same attractive leather cover options as the Yoga 9i Slim, Intel Tiger Lake CPU, Intel Xe graphics, but in a versatile 2-in-1 design.

The 14-inch Yoga 9i can be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage and features a 14-inch touch display with up to 4K resolution. If you need more power, there is also a 15-inch version with up to a Core i9 HK series CPU and up to Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti graphics.

For entertainment needs, there is an improved swivel soundbar hinge that allows you to enjoy realistic Dolby Atmos sound no matter how you use the convertible. Also included is an active pen for sketching and taking notes.

The Yoga 9i 14-inch starts at $1,399 for the metal option and $1,699 for the leather option, while the Yoga 9i 15-inch starts at $1,799. Both laptops will be available in October 2020.
