Four playable characters: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin can be leveled up with new gear and abilities as they progress, and up to two players can team up online for cooperative play.

The game is also available as a free-to-play game.

As in previous Batman games, each character has its own unique strengths and abilities. Batgirl specializes in close-quarters combat and martial arts, while Nightwing uses the iconic Escrima Stick for long-range and short-range cane attacks. Robin fights with a cane and has stealth abilities, while the feisty Red Hood is an expert with firearms. They can also synchronize with their partners and combine their abilities to create exciting team attacks.
