Unsolved Mysteries in Season 2Netflix: Vol. 2 Release date, case, etc.

Where is "Unsolved Mysteries" Season 2? And now we know when Volume 2 will be available on Netflix: in October!

Throughout the first six episodes of Volume 1, the crew of "Unsolved Mysteries," minus the iconic and sadly departed Robert Stack, returned to solve cases and inspire viewers. Season 2 of "Unsolved Mysteries" will feature even more cases. For those who want to enjoy solving the mystery right away, it contains both good and bad news.

How good is "Unsolved Mysteries"? One of the show's runners told USA Today that the show's own website was swimming in tips on the first day the series returned to Netflix. The show's production team was then able to share 20 credible leads with law enforcement.

So first, a technicality. We know for sure that "Unsolved Mysteries" will continue - six more episodes - but it will not be a second season; on August 19, Netflix announced that these episodes will be available on October 19, 2020.

As for whether there will be a second season, it is more likely than not. Terry Dan Mueller, co-creator of the show, told EW, "We would love to talk to Netflix about a season two, but not yet. If that happens, we already have a couple of cases in mind! We have a database of hundreds of stories that have come in over the years."

If "Unsolved Mysteries" Season 2 does appear, don't expect a narrator. In an interview with the New York Post, Muller said that he did not use a narrator for Season 1 because he "found it really hard to fill Robert Stack's shoes."

Another reason was that they wanted to use a more neutral voice. Muller explained, "We wanted to make the documentary more present and more narrative in the world of the documentary, with the people who have the mystery involved in this episode.... We are trying to create a narrative that is as balanced as possible without being biased toward any one point of view."

Again, details of Season 2 are still unknown. But whether you call it Volume 2 or Season 2, a new episode is a new episode, so there are some details.

Meurer told the Post, "In the second six episodes, which will premiere later this year, there are two episodes that were filmed internationally."

And while Netflix has not yet announced season two, the team is already looking abroad for new cases. Right now we are working on a case in Brazil. Our story producers are working with local people dealing with language issues."

If you are wondering why they are already working on so many stories, she explained that the show was "turned over to Netflix three months ago for [dubbing] in so many languages because it will be distributed to hundreds of countries."
