iPhone12 Leak revealed release date and pre-order

The iPhone 12 is likely to debut in October, but the iPhone 12 Pro model may come a month later.

These are the latest claims from leaker Jon Prosser, who said the dates he posted are subject to change due to Apple's staggered release plans. However, Prosser promised that the leaks are accurate so far, and that they have a track record of being correct regarding release dates.

Prosser had previously said that he believed the iPhone 12 reveal event would be later than usual this year. However, his new revised date has Apple's event taking place the week of October 12. Reservations for the standard iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max will also begin that week, and the iPhone 12 release date will be the week of October 19.

The iPhone 12 (5.4-inch) and iPhone 12 Max (6.1-inch) are two of four new iPhone models Apple is expected to introduce this year. improvements from the iPhone 11 include an OLED display instead of LCD, 5G connectivity, new A14 Bionic chipset, among others.

According to Prosser, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available for pre-order and release in November. These two models will have the same basic features as the standard models, but will add a telephoto camera (like the iPhone 11 Pro) and LiDAR depth sensor to the rear camera array. A display refresh rate of 120 Hz was also rumored for the Pro model, but this has become less likely.

According to Prosser, the Apple Watch 6 and the new iPad will be announced via press release the week of September 7. Apple has made several major announcements outside of events this year, which were necessary due to the global lockdown and other COVID-related difficulties. However, the Apple Watch 6 is expected to be a major upgrade to the Apple Watch 5, so it is odd that Apple would not announce this news at a major product showcase.

One rumored change to the Apple Watch 6 is the addition of blood oxygen monitoring, a big plus for fitness fans. Other improvements include performance and battery life upgrades, mental health tracking, and possibly an optical sensor in place of the usual digital crown controls.

Coming at the same time as the new Apple Watch is the new iPad. This is likely to be an upgrade of the basic model, as the iPad Pro has already been revamped this year and the next iPad Air is expected to arrive in 2021.
