Massive Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Leak reveals key features to beat Apple Watch 6

Samsung is set to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 this week, and we've already seen plenty of inside information about the new wearable. But with only a few days left, there is another major leak. It's a marketing slide from a promotional video by tech leaker Evan Blass showing off the new key features.

The video and slides confirm that the Galaxy Watch 3 will come in a variety of models, run on iOS, boast voice capabilities, offer an LTE version, and boast several days of battery life. There is also information on new features related to fitness, health, and sleep tracking.

Let's start with the video that Blass leaked over the weekend, in which AT&T touts the new Galaxy Watch, which can be seen on SamMobile's site. [The clip was created by AT&T and highlights AT&T's Number Sync feature; the LTE version allows users to send messages and make phone calls from their wrists, even if they leave their smartphones behind.

The next slide focuses on health and fitness features:

"For fitness and wellness, it monitors heart rate, oxygen levels, and more," the slide says; one measures VO2Max, another warns of spikes in heart rate, another predicts a woman's expected period date and the last one, oddly enough, indicates an incoming call. The last one may have been included by mistake, given that it is completely unrelated to the rest of the topic at hand.

Another slide promises "better sleep and stress monitoring," with icons for meditation, stress, breathing, and sleep;

"Post-run coaching and analysis" is promised on a slide, with a picture of a clock indicating "speed up suggests that there will be feedback during the workout. This feels like pushing into Garmin's turf in the best possible way, but it all depends on a good implementation. Still, as a runner who values wrist feedback for pacing and performance monitoring, this could be very exciting.

The upcoming Apple Watch 6 is expected to offer blood oxygen tracking in addition to proper sleep tracking via watchOS 7. However, this built-in coaching software could give the Watch 3 an edge over Apple's wearables, especially for the fitness-minded.

Finally, Blass leaked a spec sheet for all four models: 41mm and 45mm watches, with both Bluetooth and LTE versions; there is no difference in specs or size between the Bluetooth and LTE versions, but the difference in size is significant.

As you can see, the 45mm version comes in a black or silver case with a black band, while the 41mm version comes in silver with a black band or bronze with a pink strap. Obviously, the 45mm version is larger at 1.4 inches versus 1.2 inches for the 41mm version, but this also translates to a larger battery (247mAh versus 340mAh) and a heavier watch (53g versus 48g).

These leaks look as official as they come, and you can usually put it down to clever forgery, but Blass' track record with early tech leaks is second to none. We would say this is as good as official, but we will know for sure on Wednesday, when Samsung announces the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Samsung Galaxy Bad Live can be found at.
