Samsung's Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is here, and it will be differentiated from the iPhone 12 in at least two major ways.

According to a new Galaxy Club report (via SamMobile), the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will have a 4,500 mAh battery. And the Galaxy S20 FE's camera should also be more versatile.

The product code for the Galaxy S20 FE battery has a rated capacity of 4,370 mAh, but the typical capacity should be 4,500 mAh. This is the same battery found in the current Galaxy S20 Plus.

More importantly, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has a larger battery than the iPhone 12 Pro Max's rumored capacity (3,687 mAh). Just today we learned that the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro may have a 2,815 mAh battery.

The closest price to the Galaxy S20 FE's rumored $750 would be the 5.4-inch iPhone 12. That model is said to have a very small 2,227 mAh battery. In other words, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition could have about twice the battery of the entry-level iPhone 12.

To be fair, battery capacity is only one aspect that determines battery life. And the iPhone 12 will benefit from a new A14 Bionic processor built on a new 5nm process; the chip, made by TSMC, is said to be 30% more efficient. So there is a great possibility that Apple will squeeze more power out of the iPhone 12's smaller battery. However, Samsung could still have a significant advantage.

Also, Galaxy Club reports that the Galaxy S20 FE will have a 12-megapixel main camera, plus a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. iPhone 12 has a wide main camera and an ultra-wide camera. It is said to be equipped with an optical zoom and is not expected to have optical zoom.

Other rumored specs for the Galaxy S20 FE include a Snapdragon 865 processor (not the Plus version), 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. We can also expect a Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Last but not least, the Galaxy S20 FE is likely to come in four color variations. Red, white, green, and orange versions are expected.

The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition could be revealed along with the Galaxy Note 20 at Samsung's Unpacked event on August 5. Expect more leaks as we get closer to launch.
