Massive Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Leak reveals specifications and stunning images

Detailed specs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have been released, with camera, display, and battery specs leaked along with high-resolution rendered images.

The massive leak comes courtesy of WinFuture's Roland Quandt, who confirms and elaborates on many other important details about the Note 20 Ultra.

Samsung will offer the Note 20 Ultra in two colors, Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black. In the renderings we posted, you can see how these two colors will look, and both options look handsome.

As for the Galaxy Note 20's leaked camera specs, the Note 20 Ultra's main camera is the same 108MP (f/1.8) sensor as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, it will feature laser autofocus for more precise focusing and depth detection. It will also be able to shoot video at up to 8K resolution; WinFuture has not mentioned a frame rate at 8K, but other rumors say it will be up to 30 fps.

A 12MP (f/3.0) 5x optical telephoto lens with a maximum magnification of 50x will also be included. This is smaller than the S20 Ultra's maximum of 100x, but the basic 5x zoom is higher than the S20 Ultra's 4x zoom.

The last rear camera is a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor. Meanwhile, there is one 10MP (f/2.2) selfie camera on the front, housed in a punch-hole notch in the center.

The display is a 6.9-inch QHD OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the same as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, the Note 20 Ultra will also feature Gorilla Glass 7, the latest and toughest smartphone display material. There was no mention of the LTPO panel that was previously rumored to be included in the Note 20 Ultra.

The Snapdragon 865 Plus will be featured in the US, while the Exynos 990 will be featured in Europe. Both offer a lot of power and 5G connectivity, but Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips tend to perform a bit better than Samsung's own Exynos silicon when put through synthetic benchmarking.

Speaking of which, the Note 20 Ultra will have a 4,500 mAh battery. Thanks to fast charging, it can be charged to 50% in 30 minutes with a wired charger, and it also supports wireless charging; it's too bad it's not the Galaxy S20 Ultra's 5,000 mAh battery, but the Note 20 Ultra's battery should still have enough capacity for a full day of use. There is no information on charging wattage, but it is expected to be 25W like other recent Galaxy S20 models.

As for memory, the Note 20 Ultra comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. If more is needed, it also supports MicroSD cards.

The S Pen stylus is branded with the phrase "Real Feel" for the Note 20 Ultra. This means a latency of 9 milliseconds, meaning the stylus is more responsive and better suited for writing and drawing than ever before.

As for size, the Note 20 measures 164.8 x 77.2 x 8.1 mm (6.48" x 3.04" x 0.32"). For context, this is no larger than the 6.4 x 3.0 x 0.31" 6.8" Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

The Note 20 Ultra's dust and water resistance rating is IP68. In theory, this means it can withstand 30 minutes under 1.5 meters (or about 5 feet) of water.

For productivity fans, the WinFuture report also mentions the introduction of wireless DeX mode to the Note 20 Ultra. This means, in practice, that the Note 20 can be used in a virtual desktop setup via a separate display without the need for a cable connection.

Meanwhile, for gamers, the Note 20 Ultra will be the first phone optimized for Project xCloud. Microsoft has partnered with Samsung to ensure that its cloud gaming service works well on the new phone, offering up to 90 games.

Other interesting specifications include AKG-tuned speakers on the Note 20 Ultra and compatibility with connectivity standards. This includes USB-C 3.0. 2 ports, NFC capability, Bluetooth 5, WiFi 6, and support for both dual SIM and eSIM.

If these are true specs, they will all be announced at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5. Other rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Tab S7 will also be announced here.
