Samsung President TM Roh confirmed that five new devices will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked keynote on August 5.

There have been suspicions and speculation for months about which devices Samsung plans to unveil this summer, but President Roh's announcement (via Samsung Newsroom) gives us a better idea of what to expect at the company's online-only event next month. And it tells us with certainty that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 lineup will not stand alone on the stage.

"From fodables to 5G, we have a tremendous amount in the pipeline, and some are ready to show up soon," Roh wrote.

Whether the Note 20 and premium Samsung Note 20 Ultra will count as one product or two of the five is unconfirmed, but based on additional Samsung devices leaked in recent months, we are leaning toward the former. [For example, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is almost certain to debut. And not only have we heard about its screen dimensions from display analysts and seen press images that look official, but Samsung itself teased the upcoming foldable on Twitter.

According to leakers like Evan Blass and Max Weinbach, we could also see the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G in Unpacked. It may not look the same as the clamshell we saw at the Samsung Galaxy S20 event, but it will bring fast download speeds to the most successful foldable on the market so far.

The last two devices Samsung is likely tapping are the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live wireless earphones and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. We previously believed these would be released in late July and around the Note 20 event, but President Roh's message suggests otherwise.

"Holding these devices in your hands (and ears, and wrists) will give you the power to live life to the fullest," the Samsung president wrote. [The Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Buds Live, and Galaxy Watch 3 combined with the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra Live, and Galaxy Watch 3 for a total of five devices.

It is also possible that one of these will not be announced at the Unpacked event and the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 will appear instead. Only time will tell, however.
