Pre-order for OnePlus Nord has sold out - here's how you can still buy one

Those who missed out on the OnePlus Nord during the past three pre-order windows are in luck.

OnePlus has a tradition of running pop-up stores like this one, and shortly after the Nord's launch on July 21, it will again host a pop-up store for OnePlus fans to get their hands on the new phone, similar to the pop-up for the OnePlus 8 Pro, this event will be virtual.

OnePlus has not yet confirmed the exact opening date of the Nord pop-up store, stating only that "the OnePlus Nord will be available through an online pop-up event shortly after the world's first AR smartphone is unveiled at its launch on July 21. OnePlus advises people to watch the @oneplus.nord Instagram account for more details as the Nord's launch gets closer.

We suspect that a pop-up store will open soon after the Nord phone is announced and more details are revealed on July 21. The launch event itself is expected to be quite interesting, as it will be live-streamed starting at 10:00 a.m. EST and will have an augmented reality (AR) component, but you will need to download the OnePlus Nord AR app before that.

The pre-order window and pop-up store may seem like a big deal to get the smartphone. However, the OnePlus Nord is going to be a very interesting phone for under $500.

According to leaks and rumors seen and heard so far, the OnePlus Nord will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765G chipset, up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It also has a large 4,115 mAh battery that promises strong battery life

The OnePlus Nord has a quad rear camera with 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro, and 2MP portrait sensors, a 32MP main lens and It is also expected to combine two selfie cameras consisting of an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

With these specs, the OnePlus Nord appears to beat the iPhone SE 2020 in everything but raw performance. The Nord also has a larger screen, more cameras, and a more powerful processor, which could help it corner the upcoming Pixel 4a.

Whether the OnePlus Nord will be the champion of new mid-range smartphones remains to be seen until it is tested. But so far, all signs look promising.
