The OnePlus Nord's selfie camera may be one of its best features, thanks to its dual-sensor design that allows even a large group of friends to fit in the frame.

As seen on OnePlus' dedicated Nord Instagram account (via Android Central), the new mid-range phone will feature an ultra-wide camera with a 105-degree viewing angle. As you can see in the video below, it is intended to replace the selfie stick as a way to see more than through a regular angled phone camera at the end of your arm.

The submission does not mention the resolution of the camera, but there are leaked and rumored details that make up for it. It is believed that the main sensor will be a 32MP camera and the ultrawide sensor will be an 8MP model.

Another OnePlus teaser via Instagram reconfirmed the use of the Snapdragon 765G as the Nord chipset. While this is not as powerful as the Snapdragon 865 chipset found in the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and many other 2020 Android flagship models, it should still provide more than enough power for everyday tasks. Additionally, if you have a compatible SIM and live in an area with a 5G network, you can also use 5G.

The rear camera block reportedly consists of four cameras, including main, ultra-wide, depth, and macro sensors, which is far more than is usually found on phones under $500. The battery is a 4,115 mAh model that can use OnePlus' Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology, and the display will be a 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen.

The phone is not the only phone that will be seen at the AR launch event on July 21; OnePlus is also about to release OnePlus Buds, the company's first truly wireless earphones. There is no definitive information on these other than that they are indeed a confirmed product, but leaked information suggests that these will be AirPods-style "buds" with plastic tips and stems.

OnePlus is focusing on Europe for the launch of the Nord, and there is no indication of a U.S. release anytime soon, except for a limited release to the winner of the competition OnePlus is holding for American customers. iPhone SE and the rumored Google Pixel 4a, we expect an eventual transatlantic release, as it is likely to be a strong competitor to the Pixel 4a.
