Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G Video shows new foldable phone from any angle

Introducing the new Galaxy Z Flip 5G, an upcoming update to Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 5G foldable flip phone.

And also, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is an upcoming update to Samsung's foldable flip phone, which is primarily focused on adding 5G connectivity to the device that debuted in February. It is therefore not surprising that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G teaser video that has been making the rounds on the Internet bears a striking resemblance to the original Galaxy Z Flip.

In the 60-second video posted by Evan Blass and Max Weinbach on their respective Twitter accounts, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G opens, closes, spins around, and generally acts just like the LTE Z Flip. The only way to know that this is the 5G version is that the text at the beginning of the video says so.

The video hints at one change to the Z Flip line - we're getting new colors. Blass is calling it Mystic Bronze, and it will join the three colors that the first Galaxy Z Flip had - Mirror Black, Mirror Purple, and Mirror Gold.

The video also seems to confirm that there will not be many other changes coming to the Galaxy Z Flip lineup - or what there will be under the hood. The new model may feature a Snapdragon 865 processor, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 855 in the original model, and may have a slightly larger battery to support power-hungry 5G connections. One rumor suggests that the 12MP sensor may be replaced by a 10MP ultra-wide lens to complement the current Galaxy Z Flip's 12MP main camera.

We expect to see the Galaxy Z Flip on August 5, when Samsung will hold an Unpacked event that will also introduce the Galaxy Note 20. According to this video, Samsung will not devote much time to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G's new features.
