The Dell XPS15 has got a stunning new color that makes the MacBook Pro look boring

The Dell XPS 15 2020 is one of the best laptops, offering a powerful blend of power and portability. However, the black carbon and silver aluminum color options are getting a bit old, and the XPS 15 2020 is now available in a variety of colors.

That is about to change as Dell has added a striking white option to the XPS 15. dubbed "Frost," this new color option is effectively the Arctic White finish that has been suggested for this laptop before.

Dell says that while the chassis color will be called Frost, the glass palm rest will be Arctic White, adding a subtle two-tone finish to the XPS 15. This will put the XPS 15 alongside its smaller Dell XPS 13 sibling, which is already available in an Arctic White option.

The new color helps make the XPS 15 look even more attractive than its stable of color options, with slimmer edges and a nearly bezel-less display. It is also definitely fresher than the old carbon black color scheme in the XPS laptop lineup, which consists of the Dell XPS 13 and the new Dell XPS 17 2020. This new color scheme makes the XPS 15 an even more exciting competitor to the MacBook Pro 16-inch, which features the familiar gray MacBook design that Apple has used for years.

The new frosted color option comes with the small caveat that it will only be available in XPS 15 configurations with a Core i7 CPU and 16GB or more RAM. And getting the new finish costs an additional $50 to the price of the laptop; given that the XPS 15 can be quite expensive if configured with high-end specs, you really fork out the extra cash for it when it becomes available in the summer! You'll need Forst Finishing to.

That said, the XPS 15 is one of the best laptops; our review of the Dell XPS 15 praised its overall performance, great display, and excellent keyboard and touchpad. The battery life is spotty (on the 4K model), and the fan noise when hard at work is the only drawback; spending a modest amount on the XPS 15 is not a bad technology investment.
