Students can nab HP Pavilion x360 laptop for 5 500

If you're going back to school in the fall, a good laptop can help you with everything from papers to research to online classes. And thanks to a great deal on the 14-inch HP Pavilion x360 at Best Buy right now, you don't have to put too much strain on your back-to-school budget.

Best Buy is offering the HP Pavilion x360 for $599, a $150 discount off the regular price of $749. Create a My Best Buy account with your .edu email address and sign up for Best Buy's student deals newsletter to save an additional $100 on this 14" notebook. With a student price of $499, it's one of the cheapest back-to-school laptop deals you can find.

In other words, for under $500, you can get a 2-in-1 laptop with a touchscreen powered by an Intel 10th generation Core i5 processor. When our sister publication Laptop Mag published a review of the HP Pavilion x360, they found the Core i5-powered machine to offer excellent performance and a comfortable keyboard. It should be noted, however, that battery life is below average.

Tom's Guide's special "Summer Savings" event will feature a week of the best sales in July.
