Samsung Galaxy Note 20 super caught in video - Now this is the beast

A day after posting images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, YouTuber Jimmy Is Promo shared a video showing the upcoming phablet from all angles.

In the video, the device is shown with model number SM-N986U, running Samsung OneUI version 2.5, which means it is the real deal. That said, we will focus on a few details of the Note 20 Ultra's design, namely the fact that the new model appears to use an S Pen of the exact same size and shape, but housed in a space on the left side of the phone as opposed to the right side.

The Note 20 Ultra, which is rumored to feature a 6.87-inch display, appears a bit thicker and taller than last year's Note 10 Plus in this short clip. It's also obvious how much larger the rear camera module is. The bumps are more noticeable, the rectangular housing is several times larger than the current Note's pill-shaped stack, and the lens itself has more space and is surrounded by its own metal ring, as many leaks and rumors had foretold.

The video goes on to reveal a new feature that allows you to use the S Pen as a pointer in mid-air, casting dots that appear on the screen when you press the button on the side of the stylus.

Finally, I must say that from the front, this simply looks like last year's notebook, complete with the same Infinity-O front-facing camera aperture. Jimmy is Promo appears to have tape covering the upper left and lower left sides of the screen, presumably to block out any identifiable information on the device.

Interestingly, several important Note 20 questions are not addressed in this video. One is that there is no confirmation as to whether the device supports a 120 Hz refresh rate. A peek at the display settings would have been ideal. Second, the Jimmy Is Promo does not delve into the camera app or settings to tell us more about each of the phone's four sensors.

However, we won't have to wait too long to get an official look at the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in the flesh. Samsung has decided to hold an Unpacked online event on August 5 at 10 a.m. Eastern time, where you will be able to see not only these upcoming phablets, but also perhaps the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Buds Live wireless headphones will also be seen.
