While we are starting to get a proper feel for what the iPhone 12 will look like, a new video showcasing a dummy unit of the upcoming Apple smartphone gives us the best look yet.

The new video, posted by YouTuber iupdate, shows what the iPhone 12 looks like in human hands. In particular, it shows how the striking square edges of the iPhone 12's new design, reminiscent of the iPhone 4, look.

The dummy units shown in the video cover all three sizes of the four upcoming iPhone 12 models: 5.4-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. Coverage.

And in the new design, it is the smaller units that actually look the nicest, with a sharp industrial design that really suits a device that is actually smaller than the iPhone SE 2020.

All four dummy models have three rear cameras, but this is effectively a placeholder; the two standard iPhone 12 models are expected to have two rear cameras. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, on the other hand, are expected to have a triple rear camera array, and the Pro Max is expected to have a LiDAR sensor borrowed from the iPad Pro 2020.

The four iPhone 12 models are also predicted to have smaller display cutouts than the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. However, this is not made clear in the video, and the rumors have yet to reach a consensus on what size the iPhone 12 notch will be.

iupdate also further fueled the rumor that the iPhone 12 box will not hold a charger, noting that this tidbit came from a series of reliable sources. This would seem to be a bold move for Apple. However, it would help reduce electronic waste, as there are likely to be plenty of Apple fans upgrading from older iPhones that use the same Lightning port chargers that the iPhone 12 will likely use.

This new design, combined with a more powerful built-in in the form of the expected A14 chip, means that the iPhone 12 will be a solid next step in the evolution of cell phones for Apple. The only concern is the rumor that only the iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display; the OnePlus 8 Pro and Galaxy S20 have such screens, and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is expected to feature a fluid screen as well.

What specs Apple settles on for the iPhone 12 will become clear around September, when the Cupertino company tends to announce its new smartphones for the year.
