Special in-game events have completely swept into Fortnite: the Chapter 2 Season 3 map paved the way for a special summer event; Epic Games has included "a rotation of classic limited-time modes and several new modes" and special cosmetic Summer Splash 2020 was announced.

On its official website, Epic detailed its plans for the summer months, including new limited-time modes, the return of old modes, upcoming changes to Fortnite maps, and new items. In previous years, Epic held a "14 Days of Summer" event, where old items returned daily along with special limited-time events. Summer Splash is the 2020 version of that event, but it appears to have less content than previous years

Fortnite Summer Splash will take advantage of a new underwater map and repurpose popular modes from previous seasons. The revived mode will also have new features and will be slightly different from the original launch.

"Through Summer Splash, Fog of War (formerly Sneaky Silencer), Close Encounters, Unvolted, Catch! and other LTMs in rotation," writes Epic Games. You'll also notice that these classic LTMs have been refreshed with Summer Splash, adding several new features."

One Shot Duos is the first limited-time mode available during the special summer event, flying around in low gravity with only snipers present. It is unclear how long each mode will be available, so jump in now. New limited-time modes will be available at a later date during the summer; Epic Games has not yet announced the details.

In previous years, players have received special challenges and additional unlockables. This year we do not see anything like that.

Summer Splash will feature special costumes and other cosmetics that can be purchased in the item store; Epic Games has not stated whether there will be free rewards during Summer, but data mining has revealed that free We found several clues that suggest back-breaking.
