Samsung Galaxy Note 20:5 The biggest unanswered questions

The Samsung Galaxy Note20 is expected to arrive later this summer, but because of the many changes planned for Samsung's next phablet, the cat is already out of the bag.

The new phone is expected to include a display with a high-speed 120hz refresh rate, with laser focus sensors attached to at least 1 phone to tackle the autofocus problem that plagued the Galaxy S20Ultra this spring without affecting battery life.

The Note20 rumors we've heard so far give us a fairly thorough view of what to expect, but there are still some doubts about the new phone.

Some of these issues will be revealed before the Note8 debut in early May is expected, but until then there will be some lingering questions about the Galaxy Note20.

Here's a closer look at what we don't know yet about the Galaxy Note20 and how these questions will be resolved when the phone finally arrives at the store.

In recent years, Samsung's annual Galaxy Note lineup has featured models of standard notes and a pair of plus-size versions. (Last year's article included the 3rd iteration of the phablet, the Galaxy Note10Plus5G, but it was actually the Galaxy NOTE5PLUS with a 5G modem.)

Since this spring, we had assumed Samsung would stick to the names of the Galaxy Note20 and Note20Plus following its familiar pattern, after a leak of a reputable phone tweeted that the two models were on tap again.

But then the leak began to mention the Galaxy Note20Ultra, similar to the Galaxy S20Ultra that debuted with the s20 and S20Plus this spring.

That meant 2 out of 1 possibility: either Samsung was preparing 3 phones after all, or the larger of the 2 notes coming out in 2020 would be Note20Ultra rather than a plus. As it stands, we tend to think that the Galaxy Note20Ultra will join the standard Note20 in Samsung's plans this summer. For one thing, note20Ultra's leaked specs are consistent with what you've heard about the Plus before. And the leakers stopped referring to the pluses.

While Samsung can still surprise us by choosing a different name or producing more models than expected, more evidence emerges

The S Pen — a powerful stylus that comes with every Galaxy Note release — is usually a Galaxy Note upgrade. It is one of the stars of Pu Dating. 2 years ago, Samsung added a Bluetooth connection to the S pen, allowing it to be used as a remote control, and the Galaxy Note introduced features such as Air Actions to the stylus.

If Samsung is working on the big S Pen feature on the Galaxy Note20, it's putting them under wraps.

In essence, we've heard two big rumors about the S pen — that it acquires some new drawing features and that it gets a faster response time. Both of these welcome the addition of the s Pen to the toolkit, but haven't reached much of the level of change Samsung has made in its latest Galaxy Note release.

The rumor of drawing ability is a bit thin in detail, so more could emerge leading up to the launch of the Galaxy Note20 that excites us.

Samsung also released a kit of S pen developers some time ago that was intended for third-party app makers to burn with additional S pen features to their products.

We would like to trot out examples of apps that Samsung does exactly that, just as Apple sometimes flips the launch phase of its products to people who have built exciting iPhone apps.

Snapdragon 865 is powering major Android phones that appeared in 20 years, including the Galaxy S20 series in 2020. So, especially since last year's Snapdragon 855 was the US version of both the Galaxy S10 and Note10 chipsets, we expect Silicon to enter the Galaxy Note20.

Still, sometimes Qualcomm adds little processing and graphics boost for phones coming out later this year, plus its flagship processor

For example, last year's Snapdragon 855Plus provided faster prime CPU cores and faster graphics rendering. Phones that incorporate Snapdragon 7Plus, like ONEPLUS855T, have been the best performing Android devices for a while. Therefore, the Snapdragon 865plus will certainly raise its legs to the Galaxy Note20.

But there's a problem: Some rumors suggest that the Snapdragon 865plus will not be seen this year as Qualcomm focuses on its finest processors and 5G-enabled chipsets for cheaper phones next year. (However, according to contrasting rumors, the Snapdragon 865plus is due to debut on May 7.Without Snapdragon 865plus, that means the Galaxy Note20 is likely to have the same chipset as the Galaxy S20.

That's good news to some extent — Snapdragon 855 has long been the closest thing to system-on-chip iPhone performance. But with Apple likely to introduce an even faster processor for the iPhone12 this fall, the Note20 risks being left in the dust. Some rumors suggest that Samsung may try to power the Note992 series using its own Exynos20 chipset. However, Samsung rarely uses the Exynos processor in US phones — the mid-range Galaxy A51 is a notable exception - so what process But all the signs suggest Snapdragon 865.

Traditionally, Samsung has saved big camera changes to its Galaxy s lineup, adopting what it introduced in the spring of the Galaxy Note, which will appear later this year.

History seems to be repeating with the Galaxy Note20, but leakers say they don't expect any major changes from the cameras Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S20.

But what cameras are we talking about here? The Galaxy S0Ultra features a 108MP main lens, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 100x "space zoom" telephoto lens, alongside a 48MP time-of-flight sensor. However, rumors of the Note 20 suggest that the space zoom lens will not appear on either Samsung phablet. Instead, the regular Note20 can get the same 64MP telephoto lens as the Galaxy S20Plus, while the Note20Plus/Ultra features a 50X zoom 13MP telephoto camera.

The Note20Ultra reportedly features a 108MP main lens, while the Note20 works with a more modest sensor.

As you can see, the rumored camera specifications are on the map, so it's clear what camera settings are expected during the current and reported 8 5 Galaxy Unpack events.

One of the things we're pretty sure of: 1: The Note20Ultra should get a laser focus sensor that comes with 4 rear lenses. That addition is expected to help phablet's camera avoid the autofocus problem that plagued the Galaxy S20Ultra.

Pricing details haven't been leaked yet about the Galaxy Note20, and we've decided to use last year's Note10 debut price for guidance. If you recall, the note 10 debuted with the Note949, but the note 10 plus costs 1 to 1,099. The Note10Plus 5G version addsド200.

It's not certain that the Galaxy Note20 will come out at a lower price than what Samsung charged the phablet last year.

A reasonable expectation could be that the cost of Note20 is aboutい999, while the cost of Note20Ultra is betweenい100 and以上200 or more. I hope the Galaxy Note20Ultra isn't$20 like the Galaxy S1,399.
