With OnePlus Nord's key features just leaked, Pixel4a should be worried

Editor's Note: For the latest on OnePlus' new mid-range smartphone, be sure to visit the OnePlus Nord hub.

The OnePlus Nord may have one of the most interesting front camera setups you can find on a smartphone, which could make budget competitors like the Google Pixel 4a take notice.

According to inside sources speaking to Android Central, the next budget OnePlus smartphone (possibly called OnePlus Z) will have two front cameras: a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP wide-angle sensor.

Since the iPhone SE and the upcoming Pixel 4a have only a single front camera, the OnePlus Nord could outperform these major competitors when it comes to front-facing photography. We expect the Nord to feature up to three rear cameras, rumored to be a combination of main, ultra-wide, and macro sensors. This would also outperform the single rear camera on the iPhone and Pixel.

These cameras could even make the Nord better than the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, as the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro only have a single 16MP camera on the front. Megapixels are not the only elements that make for good photos, but they certainly help, as does an ultrawide sensor for large group selfies.

Other teasers released by OnePlus show the Nord in teal colors and indicate that at least the launch event in India will take place on July 10. In news outside of the official announcement, leaked information indicated that it will have a 90Hz display and Snapdragon 765G chipset, like the OnePlus 8, and will also support 5G. Based on leaked research and statements from Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus and director of OnePlus Global, a price between $300 and $500 is expected.

The only disappointment is that the phone is not expected to be released in the U.S. at this time; we hope OnePlus changes its mind about this, as the Nord looks like it could easily be one of our best cheap phone picks. However, UK users looking for a powerful and affordable phone will likely be able to get their hands on OnePlus' latest, which will be available next month.
