Roku Streaming Stick Plus Wins Tom's Guide Award for Top Streaming Device

In the golden age of streaming, you need a streaming device that performs like a dream. It has to look good in a home entertainment setup, it has to work with most apps, and the Roku Streaming Stick Plus does all of that, and it even supports 4K HDR, making it the first to win the Tom's Guide Award for Best Streaming Device Award for the first time.

Roku offers a variety of devices, including smart TVs. It owns 39% of connected TV devices in the U.S., compared to 30% for Amazon Fire TV. Roku has achieved this position thanks to the quality of its products.

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus is our favorite because of its 4K HDR support, beautifully designed interface, wide wireless range, plenty of channels, and neat remote control and mobile app. And all of this at a reasonable price.

The design of the Roku Streaming Stick Plus is elegant and understated. It looks like a slim, black rectangular USB stick that plugs directly into an HDMI port. The included cord has an attachment that amplifies the wireless signal. The interface design is similarly sleek and easy to use.

Roku's home screen displays downloaded apps and can be organized as desired (Amazon's Fire TV does not offer this kind of control). The improved search feature can be pulled from any app and used to search Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services.

Roku is compatible with almost every app imaginable. The only recent exception is HBO Max. In addition, Roku Streaming Stick Plus provides access to the Roku Channel, which offers free on-demand content and live channels.

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus is priced lower than other streaming devices that support 4K, such as Apple TV. This combination of design, functionality, and affordability is why it was voted best streaming device in the inaugural Tom's Guide Awards.
