The possibility of a second round of stimulus is assured after President Trump said in an interview on Monday that a second round of a "very generous" stimulus package could be implemented soon.

In an interview with a Scripps correspondent, the president made clear that a second round of stimulus would be implemented when asked if those who had exhausted the first stimulus package and were still suffering could expect further financial support. He said, "We're going to do another stimulus package. It's going to be very good, very generous," President Trump said.

The president declined to comment on how much the second stimulus check would be, but said, "We'll probably find out in the next couple of weeks."

In response to the president's remarks, a senior White House official told NBC News that another round of direct stimulus is "part of what the economic team is looking at." The official also said that "no decisions have been made yet."
