While many Android phones have gotten better recently, some of which are among the best phones you can buy, Apple continues to stay one step ahead of the competition. This continues with its current smartphone lineup in general and the iPhone 11 in particular. For the first time ever, Apple's best-selling smartphone has won the Tom's Guide Award for Best Phone.

The iPhone 11 is priced at $699, $50 less than its successor, the iPhone XR. Apple also added a second camera to the back of the iPhone 11, allowing users to switch to an ultra-wide angle view when they want to capture more of the surrounding landscape. Sure, you'll give up the telephoto lens on the iPhone 11 Pro model, but you'll save $300 off the price of those models while benefiting from the same powerful A13 Bionic processor that Apple uses in all its phones.

Other phones have held their own over the past year. We like that OnePlus continues to push a number of premium features on its phones, despite the rising prices of OnePlus devices. The OnePlus 8 Pro, for example, has a screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5G connectivity. And if you prefer less expensive phones, devices like the Google Pixel 3a, Moto G Power, and even Apple's own iPhone SE 2020 are impressive in offering a lot of value at a low price.
