'Hi pull Siri' — iPhone interaction with the police to

Siri, Apple's voice assistant, offers an iPhone shortcut that records your interaction with the police when you say, "Siri, I'm being pulled over."

The shortcut can be installed on the iPhone and initiates a series of actions when prompted: telling Siri "I'm being pulled over," pauses the music, lowers the screen brightness, enables Do Not Disturb mode, activates the selfie camera and start recording.

Siri will also send a message to the emergency contact you specified when setting up the shortcut with your current location.

Recording does not stop automatically. When finished, Siri will send a copy of the video to the selected contacts. You will also be asked if you want to save the recording to iCloud or Dropbox.

This shortcut was launched in 2018, but creator Robert Petersen recently refined it to fix a bug and officially named it the "I'm being pulled over" shortcut. The shortcut has gained popularity amid global protests against police brutality and racism.

Here's how to install the "I've been pulled over" shortcut on your iPhone.

1. Open "Settings" on your iPhone and scroll down to "Shortcuts."

2. Click on "Shortcuts" and toggle "Allow untrusted shortcuts" if not allowed. When prompted, enter your iPhone passcode.

3. Launch the Shortcuts application on your iPhone. If you have not already done so, click here to install Shortcuts for iOS.

4. Click this link to download the "I'm getting pulled over" shortcut in Safari." Tap "Get Shortcuts.

5. scroll down and select "Add untrusted shortcut."

6. specify the contacts you want to receive location and video recordings.

7. Tap Done to complete the shortcut setup.

We also recommend using a car mount to install the above Siri shortcuts on your iPhone. Whether mounted on the dashboard or windshield, the car mount allows you to optimally adjust the angle of the iPhone and interact with it within the frame.
