While the gradual revelations about the Galaxy Fold 2 are coming out, the latest news has surfaced that Samsung's second-generation tablet-sized foldable will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery.

A tweet by the_tech_guy on Twitter includes two screenshots listing the battery components of the new device. It is not documented that these batteries will be used in the Galaxy Fold 2, but the tweet itself adds context.

Like the original Galaxy Fold, the successor is said to have a 2,090 mAh battery and a 2,275 mAh battery. Their total capacity will be 4,365 mAh, almost the same as the 4,380 mAh capacity of the original Fold.

Interestingly, minutes after this initial tweet was made, Max Weinbach of XDA Developers retweeted it and said that the Galaxy Fold 2 will have a 4,500 mAh unit; it is unclear where the additional 135 mAh came from, What it does suggest, after all, is that the battery capacity of the next Fold will be about the same or slightly larger than the first device's.
