The stunning iMac2020 design is a big upgrade we've been waiting for

The iMac 2020 redesign looks more likely than ever, according to a new schematic published on iOS 14. And Twitter concept maker iFinder has craftily created a rendering of what Apple's next all-in-one machine could look like.

The current iMac has been the same design for years now, but the rumors and renderings indicate that it will likely be properly recalibrated with a slimmer bezel and less chin. And it appears that Apple is using the iPad Pro 2020 design as a reference for the iMac.

The iFinder renderings show an iMac design that closely resembles Apple's Pro Display XDR monitor, which also has very slim bezels and impressive specs like 6K resolution and up to 1,600 nits brightness. Therefore, we expect the 2020 iMac to have a very impressive display. It may not be as high-end as a stand-alone screen, but it is quite high-spec as well.

We don't know from these renders what else to expect from the next generation iMac. However, based on previous rumors and leaks, the iMac 2020 could come in two sizes with larger displays than the current generation. For example, the 21.5-inch iMac may go up to 23 inches.

It has also been suggested that the next iMac may use AMD chips for both the processor and graphics card. Alternatively, it may use Apple's own chips based on ARM chip technology. It is also possible that the iMac will not use a hybrid HDD/SSD Fusion drive storage, opting instead for an all-flash setup.

It has also been suggested that Apple may completely redesign the iMac into a machine that has little in common with its predecessor. A rendering by Yanko Design, based on a patent, shows that the iMac 2020 could have an integrated keyboard, like a child between a MacBook Pro and an XDR display.

With only the digital version of Apple's WWDC 2020 event taking place on June 22, it would not be surprising to see a new iMac. At Apple's developer conference, software such as iOS 14, watchOS 7, and perhaps the rumored AirPods Studio headphones will be announced.
