The stunning iPhone12 design reveals the new look we really want

If the iPhone 12 looks the same as last year's model, no one will be excited. The good news? Apple is now reportedly planning a truly new look for its flagship phone.

The iPhone 12 design should include flatter edges, reminiscent of the iPhone 5 and iPad Pro 2020. And now, new renderings have been released via svetapple.

The first thing that stands out in these iPhone 12 Pro renderings is the navy blue hue. This has been rumored ever since leaker Max Weinbach spilled the beans back at EverythingApplePro in January. We've seen other renderings using this color, but this is the first time all the other features rumored about the iPhone 12 Pro design have been incorporated into one set of renderings.

The renderings from svetapple show a frosted glass material similar to the iPhone 11 Pro's midnight green option. According to the renderings, the color is darker and may look more gray than blue from some angles, but this is due to the design.

Additionally, the iPhone 12 Pro has a flat stainless steel frame around it, which is consistent with previous rumors and leaked information. Sharp rather than rounded edges are seen, and the band should be color-matched to the blue glass on the back. We would prefer flatter sides, which would make the iPhone 12 less slippery and easier to grip.

On the front, the iPhone 12 Pro display in this rendering has a smaller notch than the iPhone 11 Pro's. Previous rumors have suggested that Apple may move the top speaker up to make the notch narrower. Just don't expect the notch, which is essential for Face ID, to disappear.

So what about the cameras: from three on the iPhone 11 Pro, we will find four lenses in this iPhone 12 rendering. In addition to the wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto lenses, the LiDAR sensor is expected to improve performance in the iPhone AR app and portrait photography.

Interestingly, the True Tone flash has been moved to the center of the camera array. It is possible that the microphone will also be moved to this central area.

Other rumors of the iPhone 12 Pro include a faster new A14 Bionic processor based on a 5-nanometer process, a ProMotion display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and a larger capacity battery. iPhone 12 Pro can be expected in two models: the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. The two iPhone 12 Pro models will join the regular 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max.

Due to the effects of the coronavirus outbreak, all four new iPhone 12 devices may not be available until the October or possibly November timeframe. However, if the iPhone 12 Pro looks anything like this, it may be worth the wait.
