iPhone12Pro vs. iPhone11Pro: The Biggest Changes Expected

When iphone12Pro launches alongside the iPhone12Pro Max scheduled for this fall, many will see how the 2 phones will compare to iPhone11Pro and iPhone11Pro Max The good news is that the rumors and leaks of iPhone12 point to many important upgrades.

You can expect everything from the large display of the iPhone12Pro to perhaps a 120Hz refresh rate and a more powerful camera. Other enhancements should include 5G connectivity and an amazing new A14Bionic chip that offers more speed and more efficiency for longer battery life.

The iPhone11Pro is still a fairly advanced phone, with a fast A13Bionic chip, a bright and colorful display, and a very good battery life on the Max model. So, the iPhone12Pro will really be a big step up. Our iPhone12Pro vs iPhone11Pro comparison tells us all the biggest differences between these 2 flagships, based on all the leaks and rumors so far.

The iPhone12Pro will be available in two sizes: for iPhone12Pro, it will be 6.1 inches, and for iPhone12Pro Max, it will be 6.7 inches.2 Both of these are significantly larger than the 5.8-inch iPhone11Pro and 6.5-inch iPhone11Pro Max.

I know what you might be thinking. Where is the compact iPhone12Pro? The smallest iPhone12 will be the entry-level iPhone12, which could be as small as 5.4 inches. Therefore, if you want something that is really easy to use with one hand, we recommend that you skip the pro route this year. The good news is that, at least based on the leak, Apple doesn't appear to be raising the price of the iPhone12Pro and iPhone12Pro Max. The Iphone12Pro is reportedly the same as the iPhone11Pro, which costsド999. And iPhone12Pro Max orders the premium of premium1,099 in premium100.

This rumor has been a bit surprising to us as we've seen the price of other flagship phones rise with the addition of 5G connectivity, but leaker Jon Prosser seems pretty confident in his predictions.

The iPhone12Pro should have a distinctly different look than the iPhone11Pro. This time you should expect a glass back and a stainless steel band, but the iPhone12Pro reportedly has more flat sides and square edges, similar to the iPhone5.

In addition, we have heard that the iPhone12Pro is thinner than the iPhone11Pro and could be the new Midnight blue color. The IPhone11Pro comes in space gray, silver, gold and Midnight Green.

Last but not least, the iPhone12Pro may have a smaller notch as Apple may move the top speakers from the same area as the truedepth camera array. So I was able to use iPhone12Pro and iPhone11Pro to get something to the full screen design.

The display of the iPhone12Pro should actually look and feel the Pro compared to the iPhone11Pro. According to the leak, Apple is offering a refresh rate of 12Hz on the iPhone12Pro and iPhone12Pro Max, allowing for smoother scrolling, gameplay and movie playback. But obviously this feature has not been confirmed. According to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the resolution of the iPhone12Pro's 6.1-inch OLED display will go from the iPhone11Pro's 2436x1125 pixels to 2352x1170 pixels. More importantly, you should expect the first 10-bit color support for the iPhone line. The IPhone12Pro Max offers the same color support at a resolution of 2778x1824 pixels.

The iPhone12Pro should see a major upgrade that promises greater performance gains than the a14Bionic with the introduction of Apple's A13Bionic processor. In addition, the chip is based on a 5-nanometer manufacturing process, so the iPhone12Pro should last longer on charging with the iphone11Pro, but faster. In terms of RAM, I hear that the iPhone12Pro will provide 6GB of RAM, which would be an increase of 11GB of RAM within the IPHONE4PRO. You can also expect 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of 3 storage options. iPhone11 just started with 64GB, so this will be a welcome upgrade.

About the iPhone12Pro camera, we don't know much yet other than the number of cameras and what they do. Both Iphone12Pro and iPhone12Pro Max should continue to have 3 rear lenses: wide-angle camera, ultra-wide-angle camera and telephoto lens. This is the same as the iPhone11Pro, but the iPhone12Pro offers better optical zoom than the iPhone11Pro, which is 2x to 3x.

The other major camera upgrade should be the addition of LiDAR sensors. First debuted on the Ipad Pro2020, LiDAR is an advanced time of flight sensor that allows you to map your surroundings very quickly in 3D. As a result, the LiDAR sensor on the iPhone12Pro should improve the performance of the iPhone AR app and improve the effect of photos and videos.

5G networks are still built, but with iPhone12Pro and iPhone12Pro Max equipped with 5G, some down networks, which are much faster than the 4G LTE iPhone11Pro lineup, may show data rates in excess of 1Gbps. A regular iPhone12 is reportedly only offering sub-6Hz 5G support, while an iPhone12Pro phone is a sub-6GHz (wider range) and mmWave (faster speed) 5G both in other words, the iPhone12Pro should be more future proof.

In addition to the efficiency gains provided by the A14Bionic chip, Apple reportedly packs a large battery inside the iPhone12Pro. For example, according to one leak from Max Weinbach and EverythingApple Pro, the iPhone12Pro will have a 4,4400 mAh battery, up from the iPhone11Pro Max's 3,969. We haven't heard yet about the battery size of the regular iPhone12Pro and how it compares to the 11mah power pack within the iPhone3,046pRo. When it comes to charging, we believe that iPhone12Pro will offer the same high speed 11W charger as iPhone18Pro in the box. But it's possible that Apple could provide faster wireless charging.

iPhone12Pro has all the makings of a very formidable flagship phone. Between a larger and smoother 120Hz display, faster 5G connectivity and a more powerful A14Bionic processor, Apple appears to offer many attractive upgrades. We also need to expect higher-performance cameras and LiDAR sensors that open up new possibilities for both augmented reality and photography. Assuming the price remains on par with the iPhone11Pro, the iPhone12Pro line-up should be worth a premium this fall. Check out our iPhone12 Hub for all the latest news and leaks up to launch.
